Our General Transport Division plays a critical supporting role for mining and industrial operations, providing planned, reliable freight movements when emergency or hot-shot delivery is not required. This division allows clients to move essential equipment, consumables, and infrastructure freight efficiently while maintaining continuity across site operations.
With over a decade of transport experience, we understand the operational rhythms of mining and industrial environments. Our general transport services are designed to align with shutdown schedules, routine replenishment cycles, project freight, and non-critical movements—helping sites reduce costs while maintaining dependable supply chain performance.
We operate a modern, well-maintained fleet capable of handling a wide range of freight, from palletised goods to oversized and heavy equipment, including long-haul and road train movements. All vehicles are maintained to strict safety and compliance standards, ensuring reliability across demanding operating conditions.

Warehousing
Mine Direct’s warehousing operations complement our general transport and freight services by enabling efficient storage, staging, and movement of mining and industrial freight. This integrated approach ensures freight is positioned and dispatched in line with operational requirements.
We operate three strategically located warehouses in Newcastle, Yatala, and Bowen, providing flexible coverage to support mining and industrial supply chains. Our facilities offer a combined 8000 square metres of internal storage, supported by an additional 4000 square metres of hardstand, turnaround, and external working areas.
Our warehouses support the pre-positioning of critical components, consumables, and shutdown materials, reducing lead times and supporting both planned and reactive freight movements. By removing reliance on third-party storage, we maintain greater control and consistency across the supply chain.
Through cross-docking, consolidation, and coordinated dispatch, Mine Direct improves freight flow, reduces handling time, and maximises fleet efficiency. Managing warehousing and transport under one operational framework delivers improved visibility, reduced risk, and reliable delivery outcomes for mining and industrial operations.
Insurance
We hold $20 million in public liability, product liability, and marine cargo (goods in transit) transport insurance, providing comprehensive protection across our operations. This coverage ensures your freight is safeguarded while in our care, supports effective risk management, and reflects our commitment to professional, compliant, and dependable transport services.
